The Ultimate Valentine’s Escape at La Quinta Resort & Club

Love deserves more than one night.
As you make your way down the grand entry drive, the Santa Rosa Mountains rise ahead, palms swaying against the sky. Whitewashed walls glow in the desert light. The moment you pass through the gates, the outside world softens.
With our 4th Night Free, this is your invitation to stay longer. Four nights allow the romance to unfold naturally. Two nights are lovely. Four are transformative.
Check into a poolside casita steps from one of our 42 climate-controlled pools, or settle into a spacious Hacienda Grande or Pueblo Suite, where private patios and expansive living spaces set the tone for unhurried mornings and candlelit evenings.
Day One: Arrive and Unwind
Arrive beneath the Santa Rosa Mountains and settle into your casita or suite, where private patios and generous living spaces immediately shift the pace. Unpack slowly. Open the doors. Let the desert air set the tone.
Take a walk through the citrus-lined pathways, explore the courtyards, or find a quiet pool for your first swim. With 42 climate-controlled pools across the property, there is always a peaceful corner waiting.
If your stay includes Valentine’s Day, tonight is the evening to dress up and choose your setting — Morgan’s in the desert, Adobe Grill, or Twenty6, each offering a special one-night-only Valentine’s menu crafted for the occasion.
If you’re arriving before or after Valentine’s Day, enjoy dinner at your preferred restaurant and plan your Valentine’s celebration for the appropriate evening. End the night with a relaxed stroll beneath the palms.
Day Two: Move, Indulge, Repeat
Start the morning with coffee on your patio before heading to a fitness class, yoga session, or a friendly match on our tennis or pickleball courts. The early desert air makes it easy to move.
Late morning is best spent poolside. Choose a quiet retreat pool or a livelier setting — the choice is yours. Reserve a cabana at PLUNGE at the Renker Pool for lunch, where fresh bites and handcrafted cocktails make the afternoon feel effortless.
In the late afternoon, step into Spa La Quinta for one of our limited-time February treatments. A massage, facial, or body ritual becomes more than indulgence — it’s a reset.
Dinner this evening can be enjoyed at one of our other signature restaurants, selecting from their regular menus and experiencing a different atmosphere than the night before.
Day Three: Savor the Moment
For those drawn to the desert beyond the resort, the morning is ideal for a hike in the nearby Santa Rosa Mountains. Trails in La Quinta Cove offer a range of options, from the scenic Bear Creek Trail to the more challenging Boo Hoff Trail and Cove Oasis Trail, all known for wide-open views, quiet paths, and a true sense of the desert landscape.
If a slower pace suits you better, spend the morning exploring Old Town La Quinta, stopping for coffee and boutique browsing, or head to El Paseo in Palm Desert for galleries, shops, and shaded strolls.
Return to the resort for a relaxed lunch at Adobe Grill or another casual dining option on property. The afternoon is yours — a quiet swim, time in the hot tub, or browsing the resort boutiques for a keepsake.
As evening approaches, keep things unstructured. Sunset cocktails, a casual dinner, or simply enjoying the calm of your private patio as the mountains catch the last light.
Day Four: Stay a Little Longer
By the fourth morning, you’ve found your rhythm. Coffee lingers longer. There’s no rush to check the clock.
Take one final swim, enjoy a slow breakfast, or squeeze in one last tennis session or spa visit. Wander the property once more — the courtyards, the palms, the mountain views that now feel familiar.
Four nights allow the experience to unfold naturally. Valentine’s Day becomes part of something larger — not just a dinner, but a complete escape.
Stay longer. Leave restored.
