Executive Chef
Executive Chef Jan Pfeiffer draws on his Mexican-German heritage and the fresh flavors of Southern California for his signature cuisine. Inspired by his unique background, Chef Pfeiffer’s cuisine fuses the flavors of Latin America, Europe and California, featuring fresh seasonal ingredients and imported delicacies from around the world. Chef Pfeiffer’s international sensibility is at the core of his culinary vision for the resort. He was born in Mexico and gained an appreciation at a young age for the rich flavors of Latin America. At age 11, his family moved to Germany where he embraced traditional Bavarian cuisine and classical European dishes. As a professional chef for more than two decades, Chef Pfeiffer brings a wealth of experience to his role. Prior to joining La Quinta Resort & Club, he was the executive chef at the Hilton Costa Mesa, a 500-room hotel with four dining options and extensive banquet space. Chef Pfeiffer also served in leadership positions at the Hilton Anaheim & Towers, which is Southern California’s largest hotel with more than 1,500 rooms. In 2004, he received the prestigious Le Toques Blanches Chef of the Year Award for the western U.S. Chef Pfeiffer speaks five languages and currently lives in La Quinta with his wife, Patricia. |
